Fusion Wedding | The Last Drop Hotel & Spa | Bolton, UK.

Darren and Deepa's wedding was a beautiful melody of American and Indian culture and traditions. I loved how they described their plans when they first got in touch with me in the summer of 2019. The couple loved my previous work and the fact that I've photographed several fusion/mixed-faith weddings before, making me an expert in the field.

Asian weddings are a huge celebration with guests travelling all over the world to witness a couple's special day, If you've ever attended an Asian wedding, you know the day is filled with crazy antics and games,

so I made sure Darren's family and best man knew what was to come, especially protecting his mojari (shoes) unless they wanted to pay the ransom that bridesmaids want for stealing them!

The stunning Hindu ceremony was held at the Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa, Bolton, Uk (where Deepa and her family are from). It was a busy day, as I had set off from Leicester (where I'm based) at 6 am, as Deepa and Darren had planned the wedding to start a little later, as they knew a few people would be hanging from last nights celebrations from the mehndi night. I had worked with Deepa to understand their itinerary, which was pretty jam-packed, but there was a last-minute adjustment I had to impose as the wedding was in November 2021. I knew daylight was not in our favour, so I had to change the schedule slightly by delaying the group photos to capture some stunning natural portrait photos outside. Boy, it was freezing outside!
